Laurel Henagan is a dedicated attorney with a focus on protecting the interests of businesses and individuals in legal disputes. With a few years of experience in the field, Laurel has quickly built a reputation for providing thoughtful, strategic, and effective legal representation.
Originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana, Ms. Henagan earned her bachelor’s degree in history from Oklahoma State University. She then went on to study law at the University of Tulsa College of Law, where she gained a deep interest in civil litigation, particularly in matters related to contract disputes and insurance defense. During law school, Ms. Henagan was actively involved in legal clinics, judicial internships, and the Energy Law Journal, further sharpening her advocacy skills.
Upon graduating from law school, Ms. Henagan moved to Washington D.C. to work with various nonprofit organizations, including the National Legal Aid and Defense Association before returning to her southern roots. Prior to joining Lanza Law Firm, Ms. Henagan practiced in the area of civil defense litigation, representing clients in matters involving personal injury claims, premises liability, transportation litigation, and other complex civil disputes. Her experience includes managing cases from inception through resolution, conducting written discovery, taking and defending depositions, preparing dispositive motions, and assisting with trial preparation.
Ms. Henagan is dedicated to understanding her clients’ objectives and developing effective litigation strategies tailored to each case. She approaches every matter with professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to achieving favorable outcomes for her clients.
Outside of her professional life, Ms. Henagan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, needlepointing, hiking, and skiing. She believes in maintaining a balanced approach to life to complement her passion for the law.
