Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Trial Attorneys with trial experience. This role involves managing a litigation caseload from start to finish, collaborating on trial strategy, and representing clients in commercial litigation, insurance defense, and related civil trial matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis on defense litigation matters.
- Draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and all forms of substantive filings.
- Prepare and respond to discovery, including drafting discovery motions.
- Manage all aspects of litigation, including depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial.
- Represent clients in court proceedings with a high level of professionalism.
- Develop case strategies and collaborate closely with senior attorneys and partners.
- Interview witnesses, conduct factual investigations, and gather supporting evidence.
- Maintain organized and accurate case files, including electronic records.
- Stay current on case law, statutes, and legal developments.
- Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards.
Qualifications
- uris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
- 5+ years of experience in defense litigation, preferably in insurance defense.
- Strong knowledge of civil procedure and rules of evidence.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage a litigation docket independently.
- Courtroom confidence and strong oral advocacy skills.
- Proficiency with legal research software and litigation tools.

Paralegal Opportunities
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal/Legal Assistant to support our attorneys in complex civil litigation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, a strong communicator, and comfortable working in a fast-paced trial practice environment. This role offers hands-on involvement in commercial litigation, insurance defense, and personal injury defense.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
- Conduct legal and factual research.
- Organize and manage case files from inception through trial, including digital workflows.
- File documents in state and federal courts, electronically and when required in person.
- Maintain case calendars and track deadlines, hearings, trial settings, and discovery schedules.
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, witnesses, and experts.
- Assist with depositions and trial preparation, including exhibit organization and trial binders.
- Summarize depositions, medical records, and other case materials.
- Schedule depositions, mediations, meetings, and court appearances.
- Accurately record billable time on a consistent basis.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience in civil litigation.
- Strong working knowledge of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
- Experience with Texas e-filing (eFileTexas).
- Bachelor’s degree or ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with legal practice management software such as Clio or similar.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to draft, proofread, and edit legal documents with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Track and enter billable time (minimum expectation: 100 billable hours per month).

- Experience in commercial litigation, insurance defense, or personal injury defense.
- Ability to anticipate attorney needs and proactively manage tasks.
