Carly has civil litigation and arbitration experience in insurance defense, automobile and transportation litigation, minor settlements, and pre-litigation matters.
Biography
Carly Miller is a Texas transplant, originally from Claremore, Oklahoma. Ms. Miller attended Oklahoma State University in the fall of 2014 (GO POKES!). There, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies in May 2017. While awaiting admission to law school, Ms. Miller worked at the Oklahoma State House of Representatives in public policy, focusing on criminal justice reform and public safety.
Ms. Miller enrolled at South Texas College of Law Houston in the fall of 2020. During law school, Ms. Miller served as President of the Democratic Law Student Association, where her team volunteered to advocate through a Supreme Court Amicus Curiae brief submitted to the Texas Supreme Court in the landmark case Gregory v. Cohen. Ms. Miller also served individuals through the Guardianship Clinic and the Probate Clinic at South Texas College of Law Houston. Through her coursework, Ms. Miller received the top grade (CALI Award) in the Legislation class at South Texas in December 2023.
Ms. Miller received her law degree in December 2023 and was admitted to practice law by the state Bar of Texas in April 2024. Presently, she represents and advises clients in insurance defense and civil litigation matters in state courts throughout Texas.
In her free time, Carly enjoys cheering for her favorite football teams, reading (especially Kristen Hannah books), and spending time by the pool with her husband, son, and golden retriever.
